Reunion Memories
I had a better time than I anticipated and I thought that the planning could not have been better. It might have been a mistake for me not to have gone to the Friday night affair so that I could have had more time to speak to people.
You hosts did a wonderful job and should be very proud of your success. It was organized professionally. You sure did a great job communicating & getting people there.
My brother saw our book. His class has a reunion last year. He had no book. I call it the Great American Novel.
Here are pics of you and your playmates from as far back as 63 years!!! (The picture was taken in our kindergarten room at Edgemont - we are sitting on little chairs. Shown are Skip Gillis, Bob Stranathan, Marilyn Robitzek DeVos, Bill Greenawalt, Peter Gaillard, Dick Powell and Barbara Bodden. Maida Gunzenhauzer Wagner and Stewie Gully got lost and should have been in it! Bob Stranathan thought the blocks were the ones he played with, and Stewie reported that the swing-set had to be ours too!)
I love you all and loved all the hugs I got! makes me want to get on with my life again with wonderful memories of a "warm and fuzzy" memory of my past with all of you!
What a fun time. The reunion, not the long drive [home]….
It was wonderful to see you and so many of our friends…. It was a great reunion.
I loved every minute of it and cried (happy tears) when I said good bye. It gives a good outlook on life to see a group, so nurtured, be such positive contributors to the world - a life affirming reunion. Life can be done!
Thanks for all you did to get people together and the hours you spent tracking people down -- you set a good example for other classes tracking for their reunions. In fact, we thought the whole weekend was tremendously well organized -- better than my husband's in Illinois.
I understand that it was a great success. You and the Committee deserve a big "thanks" for the effort that you put in to making it happen.
Just want to say CONGRATULATONS to you and the entire committee. My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend. In fact, it was mind -boggling. You are to be commended for terrific preparations and an unmatched outcome. My husband told me ours was far better than his reunion two years ago. It was just fabulous.
…the work that went into the reunion was outstanding - I am so impressed!
I cannot tell you how palpable the loving feeling that permeated all of the reunion and at how much we all enjoyed being together.
Wasn't the reunion fun though! The electricity certainly was in the air. My only regret was that I didn't get enough time to have a good conversation with my favorite friends.
From a Christmas letter: One of the highlights of the year was (the) 50th High School reunion! Amazingly, this class has remained connected all these years. With few natural exceptions, most of the class attended. They came from all over to be there. Memories of the good old days, school songs and special events were shared. It all seemed to have happened only yesterday. It was a very warm loving celebration of when we were young in years. Now we are young in spirit. It is always a delight to see old friends. Somehow they make our lives much richer!
